People come to therapy for all sorts of reasons. Difficult relationships. Trauma. Life scripts that no longer work. I believe as we examine and challenge our stories, we can change our lives. In an environment of safety, I empower my clients to explore the past, find hope in the present, and move towards healing.
We all deserve joy.

Faith Crises--Some people get to a place in their religious lives where things that they once never questioned suddenly don't make sense anymore. Having a therapist to process with can be liberating--especially one who is invested in helping you discover what path will best support your mental health, happiness, and growth.Faith Expansion--Many of us have narrowly defined our spirituality and often conflate it with religion. Developing healthy spirituality can be hard, especially if we have suffered religious trauma or felt boxed in by doctrines that felt limiting and not liberating. Therapy can help disentangle our faith from fear and allow us to discover the core values that allow us to live our best lives.Mixed Faith Relationships--When one partner walks away from the faith tradition that brought you together, it can feel like betrayal. And having your spouse stay in a religion you feel does harm can pit partners against each other. Therapy can not only repair the damage done when paths diverge, but create new, stronger connections that can revitalize relationships.Life Transitions/"What Now?" When you've spent your whole adult life in the role of wife and mother, it can be a challenge to shift the focus away from others and start a new chapter. When asked, "What do you want?" most Mormon women not only have no clue, but may feel selfish even contemplating putting themselves higher up in the queue. Learn to honor what you have accomplished and transform those skill into more awesomeness.
